Under the subsoil of Liffol, Gallo-Roman villas, a sanctuary where water and sun cults were celebrated, and many other treasures dating from the Gallo-Roman era were hidden...

Excavations have revealed them, as well as a smoking room unique in the Roman world and a Flavian mosaic.

These objects are exhibited and displayed on two levels in this museum, which was once the site of the forest ranger's house.

The collections cover various periods of history, including of course prehistory, the Gallo-Roman period, the Middle Ages...
