SAINT NABORD
THE HOUSE OF HISTORY AND HERITAGE
Description
A rich collection of furniture, clothing and other souvenirs that offers visitors a vision of what the daily life of a Vosges man could be like in the last century. Reconstruction of the interior of a Vosges house: kitchen, bedrooms, living rooms... many collections of tools, books and know-how. A model room where model models of a paper mill, grain mill and high iron mill are presented, showing the ways of working in the past, where everything was made by hand with water as the only driving force. A room dedicated to General Humbert - a native of Saint Nabord, to the prestigious reputation among our Irish friends and for good reason: his main title of glory is his participation in the Irish expedition where he won the Battle of Castlebar, at the head of a French-Irish force. Free and free admission.
Open days on Tuesdays in July / August, information at the Tourist Office.
Open by appointment outside the open house.
