LA FONTAINE DE LA PLACE DE MESDAMES
Description
Until the Revolution, the square was home to a rectangular fountain and a Canoness's house, which was demolished to renovate the square.
Mayor Stanislas Bresson wanted to restructure the Place du Collège (now Place de Mesdames). In 1828, he had this fountain built.
The current basin was rebuilt according to the original plan in 1993, but the cast-iron bowl was retained.
